Niklaus was beginning to wonder what being an Elemental entailed. Did each one have different powers? How did they gain control over them? Was there some sort of ceremony to unlock their full potential?

This made his thoughts zero in on Aella again. Would he ever want to see just how much power she held? As she told him in the beginning, she had yet to let loose. He started to wonder if that was why he wanted her.

He was sure it was a factor, but there was something else. It had to do with the way she treated him, how she talked about him even when she thought he wasn't listening... The way his insides twisted with something that wasn't quite hunger.
