The Doctor gave up long ago of ever finding his 'Amarthin,' his bonded. But when he visited the house of Jackie Tyler one day, soon after his regeneration, his senses were flooded with the tell-tale signs of her! But the road for the two would not be an easy one, as eighteen-year-old Persephone still believed she was human and had a crippling phobia of making connections with people. It would take time and effort, but the Doctor was convinced that with love and hard work, he could help Persephone save herself.

This is a 'slowmance.' I want to show that you don't have to have love at first sight to be an interesting fanfiction.

Mary Perdita didn't know a thing about herself. That's not just seem deep metaphorical phrase, she really didn't. Mary Perdita is just a name that she made up. She doesn't know how old she is, she has no idea where she came from. The only thing she remembers is waking up in a dirty alleyway in London with a locket around her neck. That and the fact that she has some of the strangest dreams about the most insane things: Time ships and a planet surrounded by a glass dome...the death of two unnamed adults. Because of these dreams, Mary has knowledge of aliens races and history that she shouldn't have. Knowledge that ends up being true, as she learns when she begins to investigate strange goings on with none other than Sarah Jane Smith, which eventually leads her to the one person that might be able to figure out where she came from, why she has no memories, and why her dreams hold true other-worldly facts. Mary needs a Doctor...and luckily for her, she may have found just the man for the job.
