After Frisk reaches the surface, she comes across Chara. Her body becomes possessed by him.
In her agony, she sees the deaths of her friends and the one she loves: Sans.
Can Sans see the truth or will he not trust her?


(This story is an AU where Frisk is a female, who is 22 years old. She is not a child in this. I do not like shipping Frisk when she's a kid. She can be referred as they/them so no gender war comments, please. Just respect my vision for my story. Chara will be male. His age appears around Frisk's but he's spiritually older. Monsters tend to age slower than humans in this AU. This is a fanwork. If you think Sans x Frisk is cringy, I treat it as Beauty and the Beast so think of it in that mindset. Hope you guys enjoy this sad and fluffy story. I may or may not make this into a sketch comic one day? But this will have some of my sketch art here for big parts of the story.)

Dream had spent most of his time being pushed around by Ink and was expected to be the solution to everyone's emotional problems. The only thing he did for himself was to try and gain Nightmare's forgiveness and trust. He knew it would be difficult, maybe even impossible. He still wanted to try though. But he was losing hope. Only after having to spend the whole day alone was Dream able to reflect on his life and how unfair it was. Dream wanted peace, but Ink wanted war. Dream wanted to be with his brother, but Nightmare hates him. Dream wanted to make friends, but they only wanted his help. These thoughts were enough to bring a plethora of emotions that eventually, completely shattered his optimistic perspective on life. According to Fell, Sans would eventually grow tired of him just like his own brother Edge had done. But in his heart, he wanted Sans more than anything. Fell's own insecurities within himself only pushed him farther away from Classic. Soon enough, Fell had to go back to his own world. The kid had started another timeline again. Two years passed in the pacifist route. Fell found peace with Papyrus. They had a nice home on the surface. The kid didn't plan on resetting any time soon. Fell finally found hope again. He didn't always have to doubt himself anymore or sleep with one eye open. Fell suddenly remembered his promise. Classic had been waiting on him. Was it too late? Could Fell still go back to him?
