Secret monthly meetings between Kion and Jasiri eventually led to their friendship becoming much more. That alone threatens their friendship becoming known to the Pride Lands, but they are willing to hope that one day, things between their homelands will change. 

But when Scar devises a secret plan to get rid of Kion, with the young leader living as his worst fear during the light of day, taken away from the Pride Lands, and forbidden to use the Roar, Kion and Jasiri's bond of everlasting love must be made known to everyone and to each other if he is to ever come home free. With the help of some new friends and an unexpected ally in a land beyond the Outlands, it just might work.
