The war between Nathan Saxon and Emily Fox began in kindergarden, when Emily wrecked Nathen's pants to make it look like he wet himself. Since then the two have been life long enemies trying their very best to make each others lives hell.

When the two reach their senior year Emily has climbed to the peak of the school social ladder whilst Nathan has been left at the bottom with the nerds.

So what happens when Nathan turns 18 and discovers Emily is his mate? (did I mention he's a werewolf?) Not only was it her pack that made her suffer through all that because they sold her, but her mate had given up on her because her wolf had to go into dormancy. She falls into severe depression, and develops a form of PTSD, that was formed from the shock she had from her pack and mate's betrayal. She isn't happy anymore, and that brightness she had in her personality is gone, leaving a husk of her former self.
