Is there one person for everyone? Someone who will love you unconditionally no matter what. The only person in this world who really gets you. Is there such a thing as meant to be, and do soulmates really exist? Betty and Jughead have attended the same school for years, but never really noticed each other. That is until one day, they are ordered to work together on an assignment.  Will their differences come between them, or will Betty be able to see past Jughead's closed facade? Through time they develop a close friendship and maybe even more. Unfortunately not everyone are happy about the the two's aspiring romance. Will Betty and Jughead get through the crazy obstacles thrown their way, and can their relationship stand the test of time?

A/N: I hope you like my first story called "A Bughead story" (very original I know). I'll be trying to upload as much as possible, hopefully at least a couple of parts a week (depending on how busy I am).

Betty goes to the drive in with Archie and Veronica and ends up getting more than she bargains for when she meets a bad boy from the southside of town. At first he just seems like your classic cliche bad boy with his leather jacket and combat boots and she gives him some attitude for his over confident attitude until she sees the back of his jacket with the signature snake on it that hes a southside serpent but not just any southside serpent the leader of the southside serpents, Jughead Jones. Betty didn't expect Jughead Jones to take such an interest in a girl as mundane as her and as much as she tries to avoid him he seems to be everywhere she is. When a life changing event happens she finds herself thrown right into the middle of his world she finds him much harder to avoid and to deny her attraction to the original bad boy of Riverdale. Jughead Jones is instantly attracted to the little preppy blonde girl as soon as he meets her with her attitude and fearlessness, he couldn't help but to be intrigued. When she ends up in his world after her own life changing event it becomes obvious the attraction is undeniable and resisting just is impossible. *re-editing because i entered this into the wattys 2018 so just re polishing nothing big will change so feel free to read it. *

The person sat down beside me. Their presence wasn't awkward nor comforting. It was just there. Like I was. I knew who it was. He was often here when I came. We'd gotten used to each other just being there. I found out his name was Jughead Jones and he comes here not for bad dreams-usually-but for issues back home. "Let me guess. You had a dream about being with your crush and woke up sweating to the horrible truth?" He said softly. I found his demeanor oddly soothing. "Actually, I came here for some self-reflection." I replied just as softly as him. He seemed to know what I meant. "Sometimes..." I continued, "I feel so lost its like trying to find stars during the day. One moment everything feels so right and the next its all so utterly wrong I find myself rethinking everything and I just need to be alone."
