Summer's arrived, and school's out. XJ and Harry's plans consist of bathing in Auradon's incredible sunlight, relaxing in each other's company and causing minor havoc whenever they're bored, said chaos usually involving graffiti and firecrackers.

Unfortunately, Audrey's building resentment and anger at being replaced has finally exploded, triggered by Ben's proposal to Mal, and the daughter of Sleeping Beauty has decided that if she can't marry into the royal family, she'll make sure there is no royal family.

With the whole kingdom at risk, XJ and Harry are begged by Mal's friends (and Mal, albeit more grudgingly) to help. After all, there's no deadlier duo than Shan Yu's offspring and Captain Hook's son. The difference? Now they're the good guys.

It's time for XJ's infamous brain to fire up again, formulating strategies and fighting with the viciousness she's known for. But with Auradon at stake, XJ finds her magic being stretched to its limit, all while the unforgiving sand in the hourglass runs like water.
