Old childhood friends, reunited.

What one thought was lost was now found.

Impossible is a word used only for the skeptics.

The Mechanic, or Mel, theorized that she was the only Time Lord left.

The Doctor was hopeful, and so was she.

Maybe it was fate, maybe it was destiny.

The Way She Fixes is a Doctor Who fanfiction written following the 10th Doctor and the Mechanic as they reunite and go on adventures, just like they hoped.

Tons of research was done to make this story, and all facts about Gallifrey, Time Lords, the Doctor's past and TARDISes are true in the eyes of the producers at BBC. Doctor Who does not belong to me, only my character, Mel.

But what happens when he finds a mysterious young woman with two hearts and memory loss? There is a secret hidden deep inside the corridors of Henry van Statten's underground research facility. A secret that could potentially change the Doctor's world as he knows it. __________________________ Disclaimer: In no way at all do I intend to claim any of the existing characters in this story as my own. This is simply fan fiction. All original characters in this story are my own and any relation to other characters is purely coincidental. For clarity, the story takes place with David Tennant playing the Tenth Doctor, but the first chapter is set in season 1 episode 6, 'Dalek', in Henry van Statten's underground bunker. I am choosing to be creative through this story and some characters may not appear purely because that's the way I've written it.
