Star Crossed

Much as Senator Padme used a decoy during her reign, Princess Leia also had someone she kept close by her: Josephine Gavana, but she preferred Jo. She swore to protect the Princess at all costs, knowing that Leia would one day rule the Rebellion. Her mission may be difficult, but both her friendship to the princess and her loyalty to the cause made her sacrifice easy. She never had a reason to want anything else other than to serve Princess Leia, that is... until she met Han Solo. It was because of him that she craved a life of freedom, a life where her choices were her own to make. Never so desperately had Jo wished to be just Jo.
