Shouto Todoroki has always been a curious boy. Asked lots of questions, wondered how the brain works, what his father did in the institute. 

What's the institute you may be wondering about? Tokyo Asylum, a facility for those with mental psychological disabilities. 

One day as the peppermint haired boy was walking around with an orderly, he spotted a green haired teen sitting in his all white padded room, drawing something in his sketchbook.

It only takes one question to send Todoroki's life into a spiraling chase for the truth that continues to eat at him until he solves it.

"I know ok?!" - Izuku screams, he never screams. Shōto flinches and fights the instinct to cover his ears as he stays put with his back against the bedroom door. Fuyumi frowns with the headphones in her hands, ready to place them over his ears, but for once Shōto wants to know. "He's not special! He's just-" - the sentence stops, Inko warns him to stop as it often happens and somehow Shōto wishes Izuku wouldn't stop. He needs to hear it, he needs someone to say that word. "I'm your son, you birthed me, and still I'm never a priority..." - Izuku says and his voice breaks. It's quieter this time. Shōto opens the door and takes a tentative step outside, not really knowing why: maybe to confront Inko, or maybe to comfort Izuku. The entrance door slams and he's faced with only Inko. She looks at him with so much guilt she might as well just have killed a man. "I'm sorry..." - she says and Shōto doesn't understand what she's actually sorry about. ~ To sum it up: Tōya decided to run away from his abusive household with his sibling. Endeavour face a trial for child abuse that lead to his immediate hero career decline and incarceration. While Tōya manages to run away with Natsuo, Fuyumi and Shōto end up in a foster home.
