Shay Woodman just transferred to the University Of Chicago, from her small town home in Arkansas. She also just got out of a toxic, controlling, overbearing, and abusive relationship. Already having trouble adjusting to the different lifestyle of the northerners, she also has to worry about finals, and her new professor. Professor Hiddleston isn't a mean teacher, but he is strict when it comes to work. And a perfectionist when it comes to Shakespeare.
