It's been over a cycle since I was almost caught by the Hunters, since I was torn apart from my family and was thrown halfway across the dimension, to the Realm of Magic. They say Magic comes from who you are as a person, from your inner strength and determination to follow the path you're on- and if that's so, maybe I've lost it. Ever since that day I've been unable to spark even the tiniest bit of magical energy- or well, up until recently, that is. It all started after a slight deviation in this dream I've been having and an incident in the Nevadoran Forest- and now I suddenly got invited to study at a school for Magic, Arthyrell Academy. Will this finally lead me to the answers I've been seeking?

"The Rubyix Saga" is an illustrated novel project I work on next to my studies- with "The Rise of Nevadora" being the first out of a planned series of seven books.

- A central focus in the book series is trauma. Therefore, this novel contains and explores themes surrounding mental health, mental illnesses such as depression and anxiety disorders, self harm & suicide, death - either of an individual or genocidal, and other forms of loss, (fantasy) violence and abuse & oppression in multiple forms or ways. This content, while written with care and respect, may be unsuitable for audiences under the age of 13, those who are susceptible to influence from or who are uncomfortable with these types of topics and those who experience triggers as a result of being subjected to harm by any of these circumstances.

The novel includes these themes to shed light on and bring about debate on these topics, however this does not mean it will always be a pretty read-through. Especially graphic or shocking chapters contain their own seperate warning at the top of the page.All Rights Reserved

They roam around Earth every few centuries and destroy what mankind works hard for. And after so many years of fighting and fighting, having almost no time to live the lives they want, they give up, spending what normal teenagers would use to play video games or go shopping to train and increase their magic. With another big attack coming along soon, Rage is going to go into Immortal's Death for sure, Envious, Happiness and many others are certainly going to be on the brink of it. Trapped in my Worst Novel by Soraya_336

Protagonists, the most important characters in stories. They're the ones that are supposed to save the world and be a symbol of hope for humanity, the ones that can defeat anything in their way if they want to, the ones whom the reader wants to win and succeed... ...Well atleast thats how a good heroic protagonist should be. I wrote 3 novels ever since I dropped out of college at 20 years old. My first novel was probably the worst novel to exist, bad characters, basic and repeated plot and a terribly unlikeable rude protagonist. Thankfully, the last 2 webnovels were a complete success! I was planning to retire from writing when suddenly i got hit by a car and woke up as someone i didn't recognize at all, but the worst part was that the school this body attended was the exact same school where the plot of my first novel took place, how crazy, right? Welp, i'm screwed huh? Being in the world with the dumbest and the most arrogant students ever isn't exactly a good thing to be in? Yes, i'm in my own novel, but why couldn't i have entered one of my more successful novels instead?? How annoying... I guess the only thing i could do now is try to stay as far away from the arrogant protagonists as possible, I am not trying to die today! But if only the soul of this body i'm currently possessing right now wasn't screaming at me non stop to "give their body back" as if I knew how to do that, and why is there a mini version of them sitting on my left shoulder while a mini version of how i looked in my past life is sitting on my right shoulder?? This doesn't make any sense...sigh.

I crawled and sunk impossibly deeper into the couch behind me, biting my nails to hold back the scream of horror aching to burst through my chords. The terrifying and spine shivering sight of flesh being ripped to pieces, agonising screams of terror and the horrendous sight of blood splattering on the living room window escalated my heart beats to rhythms I never thought possible. Suddenly all was quiet, silent and dark. The light from the moon that peeked through the window became non-existent. The screams of terror and horror disappeared and at the window I felt the presence of the monster who was doing this. It turned a bit staring back at me with menacing yellow orbs penetrating to my soul as a silent warning that I would be next. Next in line following the demise of my very own...family. Crystal Cane, 17 year old senior in high school has had to live 12 years of her life after the incident with a new family, new home, new school and fortunately new friends. Still a little timid as she lives her life she has to be ready to see what fate has in store for her. Or what it seems to have against her . She enters a new lifestyle filled with question and very un expected harm her way. This has been a rough start for me but believe or not I find it hard to give up even if I so badly want to. He quickly realizes all he's done is jump straight into the fire itself, as he attempts to navigate regular threats to his life, a partner who seems set on causing the two of them to flunk out and end up on the streets, and trauma from his past that he doesn't know how to deal with. vibes: although i've been writing my whole life, i mostly write poetry. so i guess my warning is don't take on this story expecting to see a plotline or world you've never seen before. instead, this is all about the characters trying to work through trauma in a way that maybe can resonate. additionally, i tried to bring in a religious trauma theme. as someone who grew up in a fundementalist religion, i wish there was more content with ex-fundie kids, without making the religion the central aspect. that's all this is: a few more silly little characters to contribute in hopes that people might more easily find themselves in what they read and watch. that being said, i can at least offer paragraph breaks and decent-ish spelling and grammar. :) (this story has already been written and revised a bit; I'm uploading it as I do some *final* edits.) trigger warnings: pretty much everything :/

She was slated to be on the good side, to help the Order of the Pheonix. Hoping to connect with the only living family she had left, she was excited for her new year. Fucking terrified but excited nonetheless. Harry seemed like a legend, the brother she's been waiting for. Letter after letter, she longed for the day with her brother. But that hope dwindled once she was placed in the Slytherin house. Without the support of her brother, she was pushed to befriend none other, but Draco Malfoy. Draco Malfoy found himself being kind and caring for the first time in a long time. (Update every day, with however chapters I want.) Edit: I will be going through each chapter and editing them.
