Heize sees in color.

While New York City, the city where she grew up in, feels like a mix of vibrant primary colors to create a plethora of hues, Seoul, the city she is forced to relocate, feels like a grey monochromatic palette.

However, in the midst of the drastic changes in her life, Heize is able to find solace in a bustling night-life sector in the middle of Seoul called Hongdae, where she also meets Denzel who is able to change her perspective on her life in Seoul.

This is (hopefully) a heart-wrenching, but at the same time a light and entertaining novella that addresses the complexities of growing up and seeds hope in young adolescents and adults to see the world for the beauty it contains.

Just smile. Just smile, and forget it all. Just smile, and it won't hurt. *~* A world, full of hate. A world, full of racism. A world, full of sexism. This is the world Hebe lives in. This is the world Hebe has tried to make herself believe is full of good. Yet, every aspect of her life undermines this. Every day would show an outsider how twisted her world is. How cursed her world is. From family, to friends, to lovers, can she truly trust anyone? Any of them? From having grown up in a world so pressured down on one's gender and race, is there truly any hope for her? Is hiding from all of the pain; all of the abuse, really the only solution? Yes, that is the right answer. To build a wall up, to stay naive, and to hide from it all. That is her only way to stay joyful. That is her only way to remain... Sane. -- A/N: ⁃ Rated mature ⁃ Would not recommend for young children ⁃ Even though this book has been prewritten from only three months before now (May), my style of writing has changed and this version is a bit rusty ⁃ Updates every (*time*)
