BEYOND THE SURFACE (JENLISA) by JenLisaGhostWriter
13 parts Ongoing
In every friend group, there are always opposites that somehow manage to coexist. For Jennie Kim, that opposite was Lisa Manoban. They weren't close. Not even remotely. If it weren't for Kai - Jennie's boyfriend - and his friendship with Lisa, their paths probably wouldn't have crossed beyond an occasional polite nod on campus. But dating Kai meant hanging out with his circle, and Lisa was always there. Lisa was the loud laugh in every room, the girl with the carefree grin who never seemed to take life too seriously. People whispered about her constantly. Jennie heard all the rumors - that Lisa was a playgirl, a heartbreaker, even a cheater. Stories about girls crying over her, about relationships falling apart because of her. Whether or not they were true, Jennie didn't bother to find out. To her, Lisa was the type of chaos she wanted nothing to do with. Jennie was a serious student - a third-year political science major at Yonsei University, focused on classes, internships, and her future. Lisa, on the other hand, was a second-year economics student who hung out with her long-time friends from junior high. A carefree flirt and a serious student didn't click, and Jennie was fine with that. She stuck with her own group of friends, Lisa stuck with hers, and that was how things stayed. At least, that's what Jennie thought. Because sometimes, what you see isn't the whole story. And sometimes, the person you least expect is the one quietly standing in your corner.
