It's subtle at first. A weaker punch, a misplaced foot, an out of breath pant.

But then Damien seems to give up. His defense drops. His hands find rest against his sides. Letting his robust body be battered, blood dribbles down the left side of his face from his eyebrow. He lets out a groan of pain at a final punch and I wince - a sign of weakness to your enemy is only going to make them fight harder.

The man is ruthless. With expertly crafted aim, his punches land and inflict as much pain as they can every single time. Hit after hit after hit, he's ruthless. An animalistic quality takes over him as he defeats Damien. Looking like a starved man fighting for food, desperation visibly consumes him. He's desperate to win this.

And he does.

~~~~~
When the army splits into two camps to find the strongest soldiers, fighting for your life becomes second nature. Within the two camps battling, Marchwood and Oakwood, there's never been a transfer of a solider.
Until Audrey Thompson.
In a shock decision, Audrey is thrown in into a new life with no-one to trust but herself. In the camp, her only aim is to make it out alive.
But with tensions rising and romance brewing, this might be the most dangerous mission Audrey is ever going to face.
A Stranger To Him by JosephineFlorence
This book needs editing, the first chapters aren't very good, but the story gets better as you read on! There was only one thing that Amelia White needed to do. Be invisible and never draw the attention of five boys. She has been avoiding them ever since she knew who they were, and she's not planning to be part of the game those boys play. At least, that was the plan until her feet changed it for her. Bumping into Caine Williams is not exactly the way you stay unnoticeable for those boys. She detests an emotionless, narcissistic, and selfish asshole. He's the most attractive boy she's ever seen, but he has a terrible personality. Everything just seems like a joke to him. Hopefully, this journey of heated conversations and stupid fights turns out to be positive, and there's no need for any more hearts to shatter. Nevertheless, bad boys are unpredictable and dangerous, and there will be no insurance for broken hearts and unfixable relationships. But there's no need for insurance if the hate Amelia feels towards him is stronger than the tiny piece of possible love she feels in her heart, right? Caine will definitely regret opening the chase on her when he finds out it's not worth it. At least, that was what Amelia thought. Bumping into Caine Williams was certainly not the plan. That's the only thing that's for sure. Amelia knows that she can say goodbye to the plan of staying invisible, thanks to her clumsiness, and she'll have to say hello to his world with trouble and problems. You didn't think he would let her be, now would you? ©JosephineFlorence, All rights reserved
Olivia Morningstar just wants to live a normal life. As an actress though, her life is anything but and although she doesn't let it faze her, the attention is sometimes sickening and that's why she tries to live her life on the low. She got cheated on. Angry but not hurt. Throw in a mix of a careless little sister and a sick best friend and watch how these take a toll on her life. Add a shit ton of paparazzi and a secret case the man she's interested in is working on and her life isn't so much private anymore. ~~~ He breaks the kiss as he looks directly at me, no doubt memorizing what I look like as he fingers the fuck out of me. "Be mine?" He asks. "I-I thought that was... wasn't until the first date," I whisper, not knowing where my sighs ended and his started. We're so close that I'm sure I'm inhaling his exhale and vice versa, with none of us giving a fuck about it. "Can't wait." He breathes out, slipping his index finger too, stroking faster and deeper and I grip the bedsheets tighter, waves of pleasure taking control as I groan with eyes shut, coming close. "Be mine?" He asks again and I could feel his eyes still trained on me. Unable to speak, I nod. "Words, Olivia. Words." "I- uh, fuck it, yes, I'll be yours," I reply with a hoarse voice, a voice I can't recognize. I let my hands go up to his hair, removing the band that held it together, so it'll fall in soft waves and I can run my hand through it freely. "Then, I think I'm also yours." You have no idea how much I need boring. Two years after the murder of her parents Caia is finally ready to start anew. New name, new town, new school. Desperately wanting normalcy and longing to put down roots again, she's determined to stay on the straight and narrow and avoid anything or anyone who poses a threat to her new life. And that includes steering clear of Liam 'Beast' Paine. The hot-tempered, adrenalin seeking mountain of muscles is precisely the kind of person she wants to avoid. Should be simple enough. And it would be if only she could keep a clear head when he kisses her. Run my little Bambi. The beast is on the hunt. Born with a will of steel and a silver spoon in his mouth Liam Paine is used to getting what he wants, so when he sets his sight on the shy and jumpy Caia he does what he always does: go after her with a single-minded determination and about as much finesse as a bull in a china shop. However, it soon becomes clear that the unassuming girl, who looks at him like a deer caught in headlights, has demons that need fighting. And if there's something Liam does well, it's fight. I'm ready to fight for you. But the past doesn't always stay where we want it and Caia's is always lurking just around the corner. Published by Blvnp Incorporated This book is a sample and only has the first five chapters available. You have been warned. *** #2 in Falling For A Womaniser Series The book does not have to be read in order, but it may contain some spoilers for the other books. *** "W-what are you doing?" I stammered as Damien leaned towards me. "Kissing you." With that his lips crashed against mine. His lips were soft and moved against mine with such intensity. He nibbled on my lower lip, making me gasp and his tongue delved into my mouth. Sparks of desire raced across my skin. Never had I been kissed with such intensity before in my life. Not even with Jake. Immediately, a cold bucket of water splashed over in my mind. How could I forget Jake? I pushed Damien away, "You shouldn't have done that Damien. I have a boyfriend." Whose dead. Six years ago. "Tell me you felt that." His blue eyes gazed into mine. He caged me against the wall. "Felt what? I have no idea what you're talking about." I said coolly with a straight face. No way could I let Damien know how much he had affected me. A smirk crossed his handsome face, "You're lying agápē mou. I can see what you're feeling in your expressive blue eyes. Did you know that?" I was in so much trouble. *** Highest ranking: #5 in Romance
