Elliot would give his left leg to just be a normal fifteen-year-old boy. He was loved by some, yes, but not by the majority. The reason being that he's different. The way he thinks, the way he looks. The way he acts and the way he speaks. Elliot has Down Syndrome. A hopeless romantic, Elliot just wants to love a girl who loves him, but not out of pity. He feels nothing but compassion and love for others. He wants these feelings to be reciprocated. He wants to feel something. He doesn't want to come home and cry anymore due to the relentless bullying. This sunflower kid always sat alone. He grew up lonely, without a friend.
