She had wasted years chasing a dream that was never meant to be. Sasuke Uchiha is dead-killed by Naruto in their final battle. Sakura Haruno should hate him for it. She should blame him, curse him, and despise him for breaking his promise. But she can't. Because deep down, in the hollowed-out remains of her heart, she knows the truth: Naruto was never the one who failed her. She was the one who failed him. Once, he had been hers to claim-the one boy who saw her, recognized her, and cherished her without hesitation. But she had turned away, blind to what she had until it was gone. And now, as she watches him in absolute love with another-with the fire, devotion, and tenderness she once craved-Sakura is left to drown in the weight of her mistakes. For once, she reaches out to the only friend she has left. But as the hours pass and the truth becomes unbearable, one question lingers in the cold Konoha air: What does a person do when there's nothing left to hold onto? Tonight, under the quiet glow of Konoha's bright lanterns amongst the cold winds, one last mistake waits to be made. Canon Divergences: Sakura never trained under Tsunade, never reached her full potential, and remained a low-tier kunoichi under Kurenai's genjutsu tutelage. Her obsession with Sasuke only worsened over the years. Naruto, no longer the boy who once begged for her affection, is soon to be Hokage and devoted to Hinata, the soon to be Hyuga clan head, the woman he truly loves. As the past and present collide, Sakura is forced to face the life she could have had-and the one she threw away.

‘This time, I won’t get hurt.’ Asari Kazue is a shinobi who doesn't know pain. It's not that she's had a soft life- no shinobi does- she's simply physically incapable of feeling it. From the day she was old enough to understand, her family has been teaching her what can hurt her the same way a normal child is taught to read and write. Her cousin, Noriaki, has watched over her the entire time, becoming the protector her blind-brother never could. As she and her teammates are entered in one of the hardest tests of their lives, however, and she meets a person who seems to be an anchor in her unpredictable world, one thing becomes frighteningly clear. Just because one can’t feel pain doesn’t mean they can’t be hurt. *** ‘I’m not going mad, not yet.’ Kurama Jun has lived his entire life aware that one day he’d probably go crazy. To those who know him, he’s just another ticking bomb. In an effort to keep his freedom he pretends to be unaware of it all, as if the world around him isn’t as fragile as cracking glass. As the darkness within him grows stronger, however, it slowly becomes impossible. He can only hope that when it shatters, he’s the only one to break. *** ‘He said I could play family- but he never said I could stay.’ Miki has been taken into the Gekko family and has done her best to put her past behind her. As a result, she puts on a carefree attitude and to most of those around her, it seems as if she’s fine. The darkness that threatens Konoha, however, starts to shatter the world she’s built around herself. When an old enemy returns, she’s forced to confront not only feelings that she’s buried deep within her regarding the past she’s left behind, but also a different set of feelings. Ones that could shatter the fragile friendship with the one person she’s not willing to lose. *Book One in the Senseless Series* *Cover by AnimeFanToTheDeath*

Kakashi x Reader You suddenly find yourself stuck in "Naruto's" world without knowing why, and were taken in by the Leaf village as one of the infamous Team 7's members. But you, being in a world you supposedly already knew the outcome of, you notice things aren't coming out as you'd expected, and find yourself worrying about the future of Konoha, and all of the human race of this world. Something (or rather, someone) comes up to you and once again, you don't know what to do about it. Would it really be alright to go through with it, knowing that you could be taking part in the destruction of what lies ahead, consequentially ending what you learned to love most in this world, and beyond? ********* This story is a Kakashi x Reader fanfic. I own none of the characters, not even you (the Reader) ;). I hope you enjoy this story. The original plot of the anime and manga was, although, slightly modified to make the story a little more mysterious. I'll try to make it so that many can relater to the MC as much as possible. If you have any suggestions for the the story development, don't hesitate to comment about it. Have a nice read! The media in this ff, the characters and the original plot do not belong to me. Naruto really thought they could do it. That he could do it. But when the chance was staring him in the eyes, reflecting off of the rasengan in his right hand and the pulsing in his chest, Naruto failed. Madara sent him back. Back to a time when he had everything once again. And he couldn't stay. ━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━ Jiraiya shrugged, as if he wasn't discussing his own demise and just some mildly unpleasant weather. "I've got books to write, places to visit, little brats to train. The world needs me as long as it can have me." He spread his hands reasonably, as if to illustrate the surety of his point. "Spill it, come on. How'd I get myself killed?" Naruto sputtered, sitting a little straighter. "That's--I can't just tell you!" He stopped. ". . .Can I?" "I don't see why not." Jiraiya smiled softly, the nonchalance gone from his expression and replaced with a hint of understanding that Naruto drank up. "You're thinking a bit too hard into this, gaki. We don't have to follow Fate's path like a strict rule book. We're shinobi--things like this," he gestured to Naruto, "are bound to happen. And if you happen to have important knowledge and if you happen to mention it here and there, well. No one will be the wiser. You want to save us, Naruto? Save us." ━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━ [ earlier chapters are lacking ] [ cover art creds to artist ] [ genfic--no ships, but if any, canon implied ] #1 in narutotimetravel 1 / 28 / 21 #1 in uzumakinaruto 8/9/21 #3 in uchihasasuke 12/22/20 #7 in naruto 12/27/20 #4 in timetravel 4/24/21
