Talia Hale had a dilemma. Her dear brother, Steven was dead and so was his wife. Such deaths weren't the usual in her family. But be that at it may, it left two small children without parents. There was only one heartbreaking option. She packed up her beloved niece and nephew and boarded a plane to Paris, France.

Talia knew without a doubt that her sister in law and closest friend, Fran had wanted her children as far away from Beacon Hills, California as possible under the current disastrous circumstances. So she took the children to their mother's great aunt Delphine Dubois.

That fateful day three and a half year old Tessalyn Hale and six month old Dominic Hale legally became Tessalyn and Dominic Dubious for their safety.

Fourteen years later the unthinkable happened. Delphine Dubois was murdered brutally and Tessalyn and Dominic learned the truth. Their life had only been an illusion, and not a very advantageous one at that.

As the multitude of family secrets came to light, the two teenagers were sent running for their lives back to Beacon Hills in search of a family they never knew existed.
