As a Padawan, Astrid first meets Anakin Skywalker, the notoriously rebellious Padawan of Jedi Master, Obi Wan Kenobi, during The Gathering, the rite of passage Padawans must undergo to build their own lightsaber. 

When Astrid forms an unlikely bond with Anakin during their Gathering, she has no idea the sorts of adventures and mischief in store for her future... some of which include harrowing escapes from the treasonous Separatist and certain Sith Lords some thought long dead...
