isa fontaine might be one of the only mermaids to not have a pod.

for as long as she could remember, she'd flown solo. traveling to different places every few months, meeting new people, and charming them before disappearing without a moment's notice. that was her thing. but when she arrives at the gold coast, she could tell that things were going to be different.
