Carina's life is affected greatly if not negatively by her facial flaws, as nobody wants much to do with her. Yet, they say don't judge a book by its cover. In a world where physical appearances are highly revered she finds herself struggling to keep up with these preferences which gets worse when she decides to take a job in the city, the melting pot of cultures-much to her father's chagrin. A few new people in her life, a wicked twist of envy and deceit and that's all it takes for her world to start crumbling all around her.
