The Potion Master's Daughter

Severus Snape, the half-blood potions master and head of Slytherin had only been known to love one woman, but she fell for a pure-blooded James Potter, Severus' bully during his time at Hogwarts.
Severus was hurt from losing Lilly from his life completely, angry at James for being the one she'd fall for. His anger and hurt lead to him sharing a dark evening with a muggle-born and having his own child just a month after James and Lilly had their own son.
The mother left, she didn't want that kind of responsibility at such a young age, in such a dark time for the world, but by the time she started to wake up to the idea of being a mother... Voldemort himself killed her...
Severus was a single father, full of fear for his daughter, the people whom he kept company didn't take kindly to those who weren't of pure blood... his little girl could meet the same end as her mother and his world would be shattered and he'd be left alone.
He couldn't let that happen so he raised her to keep her head high and to not let anyone look down on her despite her blood status, to work harder to prove she was better than any pure-blood so if Voldemort ever returned she'd be spared.
