Vesryn may be the only female alive to withstand the primal and aggressive rank challenges of the Telnari, but with one fell swoop her allegiance is tested. Kel is the first born son of the Telnari Emperor, but Kel is not committed to the cause, and runs away in an effort to live a more peaceful life.
