"Now what's someone like you doing here ?"

"It's funny the way you said "someone like me" I almost forgot you don't know me."

"You a little feisty one huh?"

"You not as slow as I thought huh ?" I raised a brow at him.

"I don't think I got your name ma."

"Don't worry I didn't throw it East." I smirked at him before taking my leave. I didn't miss the shocked expression on his face though, but ofcourse as quick as it came is as quick as it left.

BOOK THREE OF THE BLACK SERIES *this book CANNOT be read as a stand-alone* -- "Get the hell off of me, Lucian," I snapped angrily, smacking the palm of my hands on his muscular back as he carried me out of the club. "Who the fuck do you think you are?" It wasn't until he carried me upstairs and into a VIP room that he set me on my feet. I wobbled from the combination of my heels and the alcohol finally reaching my brain. It didn't stop me from glaring at him, but he just stared back, his eyes blank. As always. He's never been a talker, unlike me. What the hell was he even doing here? "You can't just walk on the dance floor and throw me over your shoulder like a sack of potatoes," I snapped, trying to get passed him. "I'm not a kid anymore, Lucian, okay? I'm not yours to protect - I never have been!" Hearing those words must have triggered him because he snapped. Lucian roughly grabbed me by the waist and pushed me against the cold wall, his body pressed right against mine. My eyes widened in shock and I met his blazing glare, feeling his hand creep up to my hair and twist it in his knuckles. I tried to force the lump down my throat but felt the confidence leave my body. "I can do damn well as I please when I see my woman dancing with a man who would want nothing more than to take her back to his place," he growled out, tilting my head up by my hair. Our lips were almost touching. I suddenly can't breathe. "You're mine, Mia," he spoke, this time his words low and raspy. "You always have been - never fucking forget that."

He kept his hand on my neck and inched closer to me. I turned my head slightly and he took the opportunity to nuzzle his nose in my neck. Taking in a deep breath, his hand slid from my throat and wrapped around my waist. What? I was confused and scared. "You always smell so good." He said, the vibration from his mouth tickled my neck. Suddenly the bell rang. "I-I need to get to class" I whispered and placed my hands on his shoulders and lightly pushed him back. His eyes immediately hardened as he roughly grabbed my neck and slammed me back into the wall. This time his body pressed on mine. "You'll leave when I say you can." He said as his other hand snaked into my hair and gripped it softly. "Did you really think just because our parents are getting married that things would change for you?" Hi I'm Indianna and I've created this book for fun. I hope you all enjoy the story of Beckett Campbell and Alexandra Camille. All characters and plot lines are created by me. If you see anyone copying any of the things listed, contact me immediately thank you. Any celebrities, or places used are pure coincidental and essential to the storyline. "Alexandra, I love you." Beckett spoke, determined. His eyes searched my face for any sign of... well anything really but I didn't give him one. The proclamation made my heart explode, but I couldn't dare show it. "Say something." "You shouldn't love me. I'm not good for you." I admit, wringing my hands together anxiously. Rolling his eyes, he began pacing around in front of me with his hands in the air. "Would you stop saying that ridiculous bullshit? You're perfectly good for me, nobody's perfect, but you're perfect for me. So you have some problems? Big fucking deal. I do too and you still love me." My eyes widened instantaneously. How did he know that? I never.. I can't possibly have said that to him yet.. it was too soon. "I-uh-what? I never said that to you." "You don't have to." Walking over to me, he gently places his hands in mine and squats down so he's on equal eye level with me. "You show it in all the things you do for me. Giving me space when I'm in a mood, not pushing me when I'm at my wit's end with literally everyone but still there when I need someone to crawl back to, with snacks and movies on hand. Good morning messages and showing up every morning with my favourite coffee order, just because. You don't need to do big grand gestures or use your words to tell me how you feel, because you prove how much, every day." Lacing his calloused fingers in mine, he blinks those gorgeous amber eyes my way, making my heart squeeze at the sight. "And I love you, too. More than anything." "Gods, what did I do to deserve someone like you?" "Absolutely nothing, my love, but here I am despite it."
