~ Some days, no matter how I stop up my ears, I still hear the bell's knell...
~ This book of poetry explores and exposes my personal struggle, as I witness an entire society turn its back to avoid seeing how its behaviour impacts our fragile, beleaguered Earth. As unspeakably destructive consumerism lays waste to much of the planet's biosphere, humans are (ever so) slowly waking up to the harm and true cost of our way of life. We see yet refuse to see at the same time. We are loath to give up our creature comforts, our toe-hold in the climb for status, our relative sense of security, even though Life on the planet is threatened with irreversible harm, perhaps even annihilation. We've forgotten where we come from and no longer question the lie passed down to us from generation to generation. That we deserve to live like royalty at the expense of all other forms of life. That we are the ultimate Masters of the World. Holding on to this conviction, despite what we know in our hearts and minds, will soon send us spiralling into a chain reaction of disasters. As chaos overtakes our planet, we will rue the day we turned our backs and simply let it happen. What will we tell our children and grandchildren? Read at your own risk!!

About 1.5 billion years ago, the single-celled eukaryotes became the common ancestors of all multicellular plants, animals, and fungi. Fish evolved a primitive lung sac and four limbs, 350 million years ago, so they could crawl between fresh water swamps. About 250 million years ago, the ancestors of all mammals, were tiny nocturnal insectivores and, about 6 million years ago, we began walking on two legs. The most recent Ice Age (2.6 million to 12,000 years ago), severely reduced rainfall in Africa, where Homo habilis was evolving. In Homo erectus (1.9 to 0.5 million years ago), cranial capacity increased to between 850 and 1000 cm3 implying the phenomenal increase of 125,000 more neurons with each generation. Between 70 and 50 thousand years ago, Homo sapiens spread out from east Africa. Then, about 20,000 years ago, evolution made a sharp change in direction. After 250 million years, we ceased to be hunter gatherers. The Neolithic Revolution meant we could never go back. WHO THE HELL ARE WE? is a series of short books and videos describing the evolution of civilization. Almost everyone on the planet is five times wealthier than their ancestors only 50 years ago. This astonishing phenomenon has also improved health, education, and longevity. The cause; an explosive growth in ideas and productivity. It began when we learned to control fire, evolved articulate speech and stumbled onto the way to create infinite wealth; free trade. The discovery of agriculture made us richer but we also learned how to destroy wealth. Great civilization grew up but then disappeared leaving only incredible ruins and ideas. Later books detail some of the ideas and developments that increased the average life span from about 40 years to more than 80 and the average world income from less than $3 to more than $33 per person per day (and to $140 per day in some countries).

NOTE: This is completed but unedited. It will be going through major changes soon including with plot and character changes. Once it is all changed, a notice of Completion will be added! Thanks! Sins and Secrets Book 1: "How do you think all your little Alpha buddies will feel," he hissed, his hot, rancid breath whispering across the back of my neck causing my stomach to sink, "When they discover the dark secret you've been hiding? Do you think they'll respect you still? Do you think that little mate of yours will still want you?" At the thought of Tiberius, my wolf went crazy. My body jerked at the restrained that held me down, the smell of burning flesh filling the room as the silver began to cut into my wrists. "Go to hell." We snapped as my whole body began to go numb. "Oh can't you see, my sweet little bird," he came closer, his lips practically pressed against the skin on my cheek, "You're already there." --------------------------------------------------------------------- My name is Cara Eldoran. I am one of two Alpha's within my pack. Two years ago, I stood frozen to the ground and watched as someone I loved killed my older brother in front of me. There were no screams or tears. My whole body had gone into shock, and I was left to watch the horrors unfold in front of me. But I will lose no one else. Alpha's are going missing. They are being taken from their homes in the middle of the night and are never seen again. Sometimes I wish that being taken was my biggest problem. That all I had to worry about was making sure my windows were locked at night and that I was safe in the arms of my mate, but there is much more at stake then most realize. I vowed revenge for my brother the day he died, and I will stop at nothing to get it. Not even the dark secrets that could destroy me will stop my lust for vengeance. ---------------------------------------------------------------------

I sighed heavily as I scanned the forest. I had heard something or someone to be specific, wandering about. I decided I would leave once I affirmed they weren't a danger. "What are you doing in my land, human?" A deep enchanting voice spoke I sighed once again "I'm not human, just smell like one" I spoke as I turned around to see the most stunning man I have ever seen "Mate" he spoke "Find another female, Lycan" I spat He only growled at me in response. Men. My brother was the same way. It's kinda funny how all, correction, most shifter men think alike. I would've thought he would be different, after all, he is Lycan. Something of myths. But then again, so are the supernatural. I turned away from him, not even looking at him. I didn't want to remember what he looked like so I didn't give him a second glance. I heard him move closer. I quickly grabbed the knife out of my holster and threw it at a tree next to him. He stops moving then. "Heed my warning. It's the only one you'll get" I spoke coldly "I will find you. Then you will have no escape from me" he spoke as he backed away I could understand. Lycans, like lion-shifters, were going extinct. Therefore mates were even more important to them. But, even if I understood I still didn't want to be someone's mate. After all, I was Destiny Requalhi, Creator and Destructor of All. ------------------------------ Destiny Requalhi, a girl with a rough past and set in stone future. She wanted to be a normal lioness when she grew up but got so much more. She constantly is looking behind her back ready for a random attack to bestow itself upon her. How will she react when her biggest enemy comes back from death? ------------------------------ MAY BE TRIGGERING TO SOME READERS! My second Edition of a variety of Poetry feelings. For all the support and encouragements you all share with me - I do humbly appreciate all that you say and do. The feeling I get when another writer comments, or votes is imperial to how I interrupt that my work has some actual capabilities of reaching out and affecting someone's day or even their own life. So, please, if you like the poetry that I've consciously poured my heart, soul and thoughts out, please, leave a comment, or vote for how much this piece or any other of my poetry has helped. If it has given you hope, acknowledgement, or just an awareness that someone, like me, knows exactly what you can go through first hand, let me see how much it affects you. 11:59 pm "5" "4" "3" They chanted counting down to the moment Ares will meet his mate. "2" "1" Sparks erupted in my heart making me gasp and fall onto my knees in shock of the unfamiliar feeling. Everyone in the ballroom turn to me before gasping in shock. A loud Beastly roar is heard through the air making everyone go silent. "Oh Shit!" Steven exclaimed next to me, his brown eyes going huge at the sight in front of me I look up to see Ares, he jumps off the stage and runs at me, the crowd splits in half leaving me in the middle where he can get to me easier "Gee thanks guys" I glare at everyone He quickly but gently picks me up into his strong arms slamming his soft pink lips onto mine. Fireworks.Sparks.Tingles. It's as if all of the evil memories or thoughts of him were washed away as I kissed him more. Like as if I was brainwashed, in a trance that I couldn't break out of. It was addicting like a drug, I had to have more. Then I remember who he was. What he has done to innocent people. My mate is a monster. I pull away in shock not believing what I just have done. It felt like I murdered someone just by kissing Him. This is wrong. I hate it. But, I love it. He looked at me with shock and hurt expression on his face The Alpha Ares actually has feelings? "What did I--" He asked quickly but was cut off by me bolting into the crowd of people leaving Ares standing there In shock. • This is my first story so please don't roast me boy and the sequel is way better trust me. This is a collection of my writing from the past 7 years. Before I started to write, I was a very lost individual, as are most teens, but I was lost in darkness. I was too afraid to move anywhere at all. I hid in the dark, debilitated by my own anxiety, sadnesses, anger, and hopelessness. I was desperate to be loved and feared it the most, I was a coward, I was self-destructive, I would mentally bend my thoughts to the point of bordering insanity. I was born into this world alone, and got too comfortable with it. Maybe I still am, but a fraction of what I used to be. This writing is extremely vulnerable, and potentially disturbing to others, as all my weaknesses, strengths, obsessions with making every moment sentimental, the sickening desperation I've had, the destructiveness, and the constant brutal reconstruction of my mind. Without guidance, it's been absolute intense chaos. Though, there is beauty in the darkness. Everything can be found in the darkness. You'll find that through my writing, I've somehow slowly become exactly what I've written. A living representation of my writing and what I wanted to be. Without myself even knowing it. A lot of my writing themes are based around nature, or some kind of natural aspect. The imagery I paint with natural metaphors is constant, the animals, just like you and I, the plants, and all other living things. I planted these seeds in my mind, unknowingly at the time, where I now feel the deep dark green jungle pressing at the inner walls of my skull. It's all that I want to consume my mind. There's so much to learn. The magic of nature, and it's infinite wisdom. It's as if I have been on this path all along, and I didn't even know what I was doing, yet my body and mind were passively taking care of me. Giving me and eventually showing exactly what I want, and wanted to become. I have every moment, every instance of suffering, and every epiphany to be thankful for. Soon, I'll be at peace from the raging storm.
