Dr. Ekaterina “Kat” Pavlichenko is a biomedical engineer at a Military Hospital in Moscow working on cutting edge cybernetic technology to help patients with brain injuries. Her star patient, Yuri Marakov a disgraced Spetsnaz Captain from the Chechen Theater, suffers from debilitating PTSD and requires her device to help suppress traumatic memories and reduce pain and anxiety levels. Or so she believes, until one day a lab accident reveals that her device has actually allowed her patient to be turned into an unwilling tool of the FSB, forced to carry out terrorist attacks around Moscow that he cannot clearly remember or resist doing. With Yuri now lucid, and beginning to recall suppressed memories, she decides to work with him to find out more about what is really going on when her boss, the head of the hospital and Psychiatrics Department, Dr. Satanovsky, takes him away each day for drug induced hypnotherapy sessions.

By faking the memory erasure and using drug antagonists, the two soon learn that Dr. Satanovsky’s boss, FSB Colonel Karpov, has been running the terrorist campaign as a special project for Vladimir Putin to gain support for the Chechen war and help him get re-elected as President. But now Colonel Karpov wants to use Yuri as his human puppet to kill Putin and the general staff in a suicide terrorist attack that would further his own political ambitions of a military coup.

Kat cannot let this continue and suspects Karpov may be on to them, Yuri would rather kill himself now than go any further. They are desperate for an answer and have no one they can turn to except a wounded, hunted, and disavowed CIA agent, Jack Kilbourne, who also happened to stumble across the plot. Together they realize the only way out for them is to hijack the plans for the coup, save Putin, and thus save themselves.

A highly trained assassin who happened to be going around the world, stealing intel and weapons from different bases just to take on a few konnis. This assassin went by Zero. Zero was originally from Russia, staying with a few family friends. But zero decided to move away and join a Spanish military base, kill switch. Kill Switch had all different kinds of military men and women. Half being assassins, snipers, bomb squads, and psychotic detectives. This all just sounds like a normal base, right? Well, no. They use their skills in the most gruesome way possible to torture civilians for answers to what they know about the people connected to their mission. Because of her amazing skills and knowledge, Taks Force found it hard to come across her. It took them about half a year until they finally had a hit. Zero had moved from Spain to Germany, taking on a private military base, Kilgore. This time, for revenge. Zero had a past with these men that she left unspoken. For obvious reasons. Guns, revenge and buildings to bomb, what could go wrong? ✮ He came in, gun held out in front of him in one hand while the other was resting on his hip where a sharp dagger gleamed in the light. "Come on out little girl, why not make this easier for both of us. The agency you ran away from just want to have a little talk, that's all." She scoffed internally. Yeah right. Then the footsteps ceased. She peeked to the right, then to the left. Neither direction showed any sign of the intruder. She looked up in front of her and gasped, the glint of steel and smell of death as overwhelming as it was adrenaline inducing, exciting. "Boo." ✮ Murder, accidents, assassinations. Call it what you will, it's all the same, all has the same life breaking, mind shattering consequences - be it for the victim or the bystander. It had shaped Alex in a way no one should be. Broken down and rebuilt into the perfect soldier, one who had the power to change the world, to fight battles that would either make or break the carefully constructed vision we all live in. The only small, minute, really unimportant detail - it's pretty hard to get into a government classified site when you're 15 years old and have a rag-tag team of double-crossing back-stabbers behind you. Not to mention the threat of a world war and ghost hanging above your head. Armed with sarcasm, wit, and a hell of a lot of aggressive intentions, it won't be too long till a sticky situation is all that's ahead of you. Sometimes, running head-first into a situation isn't the best idea. Instead, you gotta play a game. A deadly game where either you have all the pieces on the board, or you have nothing. [previously known as Espionage: double-cross] Thanks for reading :)

"This is the hall bathroom," I motioned as we passed, "and this is the bedroom." "Bedroom?" Cadence clarified. "Just one? But you said I'd be staying here." I turned to see her blushing again, and had the urge to place my hand on her cheek to see if it was as warm as it looked. I didn't. "I still have to make sure you don't try anything," I explained. "You'll be staying in here. Don't worry-- it's a king sized bed." "And," Cadence began, looking anywhere but me as she took in the room, "what else does making sure I don't try anything entail?" I couldn't tell if she was trying to provoke me or not, but either way, I had made up my mind the second I determined she would stay with me exactly how keeping her here would go. "Well for starters," I told her seriously, "I'm going to need you to strip." --- Cadence Maurice wanted nothing more in the world than to have the engagement trip of her life with her fiancé, Isaiah in the beautiful city of Moscow. But all too quickly, everything was taken from her. Isaiah was shot by a man in a mask, and she was kidnapped to a desolate mansion to be interrogated about him. She thought she knew everything about her husband to-be, but the more she's questioned, the more she begins to think that maybe her sweet fiancé was the bad guy. Only, as Cadence quickly discovers, in this story, there is no good guy. Adler Ulrich, assassin by trade, and prized hitman for the dangerous Fedorov Family, thought he'd seen it all. But when he is sent to kill an enemy of the Family and finds his target using an innocent young women as a shield, he's not sure he has. When he brings the woman in for questioning instead of killing her alongside her lying fiancé, he becomes unsure of whether he's saving the blonde-haired beauty, or dooming her to a fate worse than death.
