Being a single parent isn't easy but with alot of prayer and determination, life becomes easier to live. Nina James, Tiya Jackson, Millz Blesset and Anisa Scott find that the best support is friendship. Even though a few of the dad's owe money, it isn't enough to measure up to what really matters.
 
Nina James- has been single since Jamel Davis decided he wasn't ready to help raise their daughter Amelia. So she leaves New York and heads back to Atlanta to rebuild and find herself.
 
Tiya Jackson- Nina's best friend, a spitfire who is determined to make a better life for her and her son Mishon. She struggles with love, forgiveness and trusting that God will work it all out.
 
Millz Blesset- the aspiring doctor, recent college graduate. Tries to play both mother and father to her son Malcolm, while Ron Abrams takes all the credit and makes matters worse in the process.
 
Anisa Scott-  the hopeless romantic tries to pick up the pieces after a series of emotional heartbreaks. Chance Brooks has a new girlfriend and seems to be moving on with his life. But Anisa is having a hard time letting go. And it takes a great dose of reality to keep her sane.

Growing up motherless wasn't always what the 18-year-old Tanya Moore would've dreamt of. Life had a funny way of doing things ya know? It was bad enough she only got to spend the first quarter of her life with her mother before she lost her to stupid cancer. The only time they got to hang out was Saturday and Sunday before and after Church. She was always at home with her father, he wasn't always so bad, he was a great man, a great husband, and a loving father.. he was a retired war veteran and did nothing but collect his checks and would occasionally do favors for old friends. Stacy Moore was a high school teacher and all the kids in the neighborhood loved her. She was always so sweet and would sing to her class if they did well. A loving mother, wonderful wife, amazing daughter, a great friend, but when the good Lord calls, there is simply nothing we can do about it. As much as we may try, God always has the final say, it may be a bad way to turn things out, but remember things happen for a reason and God never makes mistakes. Once she passed away after battling cancer for three years, things changed.. for the worst, and poor sweet little Tanya was caught in the crossfire of it all. We're all afraid of something or someone, we all get tired, we all get fed up with the same old routine, but the question is, how much is enough? When is it simply too much?
