CGLE or agere is non-sexual and is a coping mechanism a lot of people use to relive the childhood they didn't get to have or to cope with past traumatic events that forced them to grow up too quickly. Some people also do it for fun! Your mind reverts back to one of a child's when regressing and your age can vary. Most littles have caregivers who take care of them when they're in this vulnerable state. Just like how adults take care of children, caregivers take care of littles. Some people in the community, like myself, are switches! Switches are people who both regress and are caregivers!

It is NOT DDLG. That is Age Play and is Roleplay based during sexual interactions. That is not Age Regression. DDLG is pretending, roleplaying. Age Regression is your mind regressing to one of a child's and is very much not pretend. Also, DDLG is kink related while CGLE is non-sexual.
