In a time long forgotten, reigned a species as old a time, yet birthed by unknown means. The Anthems. A race of humanoid creatures that were responsible for single handedly bringing life into the star littered void of space.

A simple yet tragic race. For their, once creations, now enemy revolted against their "masters" The Anthems. Only for their masters to soon meet their down fall, by their own hands.

Their civilization destroyed, by a great war, where one side wished to destroyed their creations, while the other, wished to protect their soon to be successors.

Now all that remains of their once prosperous society, is now only whispers in the wind. Cities abandoned, though the hopes of their kind not yet destroyed, as only two Anthems remained in secret.

Brothers. The embodiment of the age old representation of the symbol of balance. Two sides of one coin. Good and Evil.

A delicate balance where one cannot exist without the other.

Soon the brother that embodied all the good in the world, was no longer. After dying by the hands of his older sibling, while carrying out his life long duty.

Now, the embodiment of good has returned, waking in a world far different from that he had died in. Yet not knowing of who he really is.

Through thick and thin the Law shall prevail. A new sense of purpose awaits us, children of light, in the land where it all began. The darkness in which we once cowered in fear, now curbed by the might of our endless light. Come, brothers, come, sisters. Let there be peace among the wicked, just as the Law dictates. Peace and certainty is all that you have ever longed for, little angel. A bright, stable future. A roof without holes above thy head. Acknowledgement and recognition of thy existence, feverish dreams of grandeur. Greed born from yearning, treacherous vines of rapacity taint your innocent soul. You seek a future that does not exist. Let thy fingers hold the fragile line between dream and nightmare. Let thy light navigate the path. Shall thee give in and falter, O' land of old, envelop his body in thy unending flame of chaos. Spit out nothing but an empty husk, the remnants of a smile once so bright. Shall thee prevail, O', Great Kazdel, I ask of you, the impossible - take mercy on the innocent. Don't let the radiance dim and don't let the mind turn bleak. Wake, young traveler. Bid thy farewells and burn thy bridges. It's time to say goodbye, curly head. Cross post from AO3. For a shorter and more on-point description, look no further! I had something silly written up before throwing it out in exchange for that wall of text upstairs. It's a little story "about a young, dumb sankta who's been dealt a bad hand at life, looking for his place in all this mess. The pointless search for a better future leads him far, far away from home, to a country forever ravaged by war and misery - Kazdel, the promised land where devils roam free and peace feels out of place." Anyway, it's quite lengthy, but hopefully enjoyable? Slide a comment if you want, I'll give you a tiny kiss on the forehead. Man, do I love comments. (Lastly, to point out, English is not my native language, but I don't think it'll be much of an issue ;3)

a collection of oneshots detailing the life of the Gods before the War of the Gods and before the modern era where the main story will take place. none of the shorts are going to be in perfect chronological order. will be updated when i have motivation to write something new for it. this is a crossover fanfic of Supernatural/SPN and Genshin Impact but besides using like, 7 of the genshin characters it's mostly original story and Supernatural elements. ---- Before time, before life even existed there was a being. Alone was they, but they were okay with this. This empty darkness that was everywhere they looked and turned, when they closed their eyes it was there and time didn't exist. They spent years like this, quietly in the void of nothing until a bright comforting bang happened and suddenly there was light. There was more than the ever consuming darkness and the being wasn't alone any longer. Two more were with them. So he gathered these two into his arms, his empty heart filling with an unexplainable joy, cradling them to his chest they were so small. A boy and a girl and since they were here at the same time he assumed twins. They were perfect to him. Born from nothing, created from absolutely nothing and here to give him a purpose. So he took on the mantel of older brother for them, began to teach them what he knew, gave them an intimate understanding, an intimate feeling of the whole of the universe even though they could never be as connected as he is. Still, he wasn't alone. He felt he wanted to share this happiness so he created a new place. A place just for the three of them to be happy. Nibelheim. They created the first humans of this planet and it was perfect. But what would make it more perfect was some special friends for his dear brother and sister - so the benevolent being to the people of Nibelheim crafted gods with his own life-force. Six elemental gods. This is the beginning of their story.
