"and I only say hello and turn away before his lady knows how much I wanna see him."

In 1968, Lynnette Newman isn't looking for a serious relationship. She's an up and coming singer-songwriter from Los Angeles who knows just about everyone in Laurel Canyon, just so happened to land herself a contract with Apple Records, and would very much like her closet to look like Nancy Sinatra's.

In 1968, Paul McCartney is running out of luck. The Beatles are starting to fall apart, his relationship with his longtime girlfriend is falling apart with it, and quite frankly, he just misses the way things used to be.

1968 was a pretty crazy year for all parties involved. But as the curtain begins to close on one hell of a decade, two musicians can't seem to stay away from each other.

... And love might've had something to do with it.

Beatles fan fiction. "Never in my mind have I doubted how I feel for George. I've loved him for so long I can't remember when I didn't. I can't remember the moment I fell in love with him. I just always have loved him... But sometimes, love isn't enough." When Hannah and her sister, Minnie meet the members of a rock and roll group, their lives change. Hannah quickly falls for the young guitarist, George, but things aren't as simple as they appear. Hannah and Minnie have to leave Liverpool, they have to run away from home, but leaving George behind seems unthinkable. Before Hannah and Minnie can put their plan into action, the Silver Beatles get a gig in Germany - a three month engagement in Hamburg. Using the opportunity to 'visit' the boys in Hamburg, Hannah and Minnie finally escape Liverpool all together but when it transpires George will have to go home early, Hannah can't go home with him. And she can't explain why. Saying goodbye to George breaks Hannah's heart. She and Minnie leave Germany and Hannah doesn't think she'll ever see her first love again, but fate and destiny has other plans for The Beatles, and for Hannah and George as well. This story is really six stories in one. Each part could be read as it's own separate story, or read all parts together to experience the very up and down relationship between Hannah and George, through Beatlemania and beyond. TRIGGER WARNING: contains drug/alcohol use and NSFW content. Inspired by the movie, "Two of Us (2000)" ====================================== "You don't look different, but you have changed. I'm looking through you; you're not the same." The year is 1976 and the Beatles were a legendary band of the past. Old news, even. A distant memory that, at one point in time, took the entire world by storm. But that was years and years ago... Since, the band has gone through a pretty bitter break up. Though, memories don't fade away so easy. Paul McCartney knew that better than anyone else. Paul notices himself thinking back on old times more often than ever before. Dwelling on the unresolved problems between himself and the others... Well, the problems he has with one person in particular. John Lennon. Paul wants to repair the apparent issues left behind him with his ex-partner... his ex-lover, and it's no secret to anybody in his "new" life. One day, even his wife, Linda, suggests to Paul that he should go and visit the lad in New York City. So? What else is he to do, but... make a surprise trip? The rest of this story lies between these pages. ====================================== - Completed - Ranked #1 in the Mclennon tag and #1 in Starrison - Pretty Angsty - Disclaimer: Some quotes used in this story are paraphrased/referenced from the original "Two of Us (2000)" movie. On December ninth, 2030, Paul McCartney was found dead in his home. And how coincidental it was that he passed on the morning after the fiftieth anniversary of John Lennon's death. Having been the final remaining Beatle, and having not outlived Yoko Ono, Paul took initiative and filmed a final, grand statement to be released upon his death. He spoke about everything: starting with that fated summer in '57 at the festival in Woolton, and about all throughout his life and career as a rock legend. He would also revisit and refine his previous statements about John Lennon, who he sites as his sole muse for this documentary, finally unveiling the true nature of their complicated relationship and rumored love affair that had been continually denied, until now. He even spoke, at last, about what truly happened during the band's trip to India in 1968: the trip that undeniably changed the chemistry between the Beatles forever, especially between himself and Lennon. Because there were many things that Sir James Paul McCartney had not spoken truthfully of: both now, and then.
