When the evil Pitch Black threatens the children of the world, (Y/N) and Jack are chosen as two new Guardians to defend them. The only problem is, nobody trusts (Y/N), and nobody takes Jack seriously.
As a shadowy past threatens to overtake Cupid, she must confront the darker parts of herself or lose the person she cares most about in the world.

Note: please don't read this one if you're under 16, 15 absolute minimum. It's not appropriate and it makes me very uncomfortable to see actual children in my comment section. Please respect that and come back when you've grown up a little, I'm not going anywhere and neither is this fic.

Update: this is now on both AO3 (@hollybell51) and tumblr (@hollybell51) in a much more refined version, different tense and narrative voice and everything. It's a million times better in every single way, plot, characters, writing, literally everything. Please consider going and checking those out, it'd mean a lot to me.

*I don't own any of the characters, I don't own the film, and I don't own most of the events. They're property of dreamsworks. I also don't own the concept of Cupid!Reader, I don't know who did that first.*
I suck at descriptions I promise this is a cool story though.

[This story is free as of February 10, 2021] "Move over A Walk to Remember, and make way for one of the most heartwarming stories this side of Wattpad. It's so cute, I could cry (again)." - Grace @ HQ After tragedy strikes, Nolan loses all faith and never expects to love, let alone smile again until Nora-perky and persistent-walks into his life. ***** 15-year-old Nolan Haynes has everything. A loving family, a promising future as a filmmaker, and a pretty cool group of friends. That is until tragedy strikes and he's forced to move towns. Nolan vows never to let anyone in ever again-they always leave. But on a summer day two years later, when the super upbeat, Nora walks to his lunch table-Nolan has to try a bit harder to keep a smile off his face. Little does he know that Nora is fighting a battle of her own, one that no one could even imagine. And as the two get closer, they not only find solace in each other but in God. When Nolan is faced with a situation in which he has to break Nora's trust to protect her, can their budding relationship still stand and will God show up in all of this? [[word count: 80,000-90,000 words]] Content and/or Trigger Warning: This story contains scenes of verbal and physical abuse that may be triggering for some readers. NOTICE: Before the Morning is currently undergoing revisions! A sensitivity reader (someone who goes through your manuscript and assesses representations in your work) identified a number of issues surrounding the Filipino representation in BTM. I'm rewriting with the goal of creating a more authentic and respectful story. I'm sorry for the pain I caused by failing to include accurate Filipino culture and in having written from Nora's point of view.

Formerly called 'Withered' Highest Ranking as of 5/18/2018: #5 in Matureaudience; 12/7/2018: #3 in ied I gulped as his hand cupped my jaw, "Tell me River. Are you scared of me?" He asked and I looked up at his eyes. I didn't have to ponder over the matter long. "I don't know." I said softly. Daimen frowned and studied me for a while, "Just wondering, because you seem to love pissing me off. And most people don't. So I guess you need some figuring out to do." ********* Daimen and River were both seniors at the same high school, they took some of the same classes, walked the same halls, live in fair distance from each other, but they couldn't have been more different. When high school was over River and Daimen became ghosts to each other but then years later fate decides to bring them back together. River Sparrow hates confrontation. She's jumpy, but tries to see the bright side of situations. She's quiet, soft spoken, the "teacher's pet," and keeps to herself a lot. She's a volunteer at the local animal shelter and loves one dog in particular the most. Daimen Princeston would fight in a heartbeat. He's strong, intimidating, and pretty much has people running for the hills at the very aspect of him getting angry. His devil-may-care attitude swirls around him and no one wants to get on his bad side. Of course River is afraid of him, and she has a good right to be. But when River starts to learn more of the young man everyone fears she starts to see him in a new way. After some time feelings grow stronger and she hopes she's not fallen for a murderer. And if she has, who is she to deny him the love he so desperately needs?

Two years after the Guardians victory against Pitch, Jack and Bunny's fighting hasn't gotten any better. If anything, it's gotten worse. Then, after one particularly bad fight which ends up leaving Jack hurt, North has had enough. He knocks Jack and Bunny out and traps them in one of his workshops many guest rooms for a week, and puts up magic wards, disabling Jack and Bunny's powers. The intention was for them to bond and become friends, but what happens when Bunny finds out things that the frost spirit has never told anyone before? What will Bunny do when he finds out that the happiest of the Guardians isn't as happy as he lets up to be? Will this experience resolve the two Guardians dispute and make them friends, or something more? . . . None of the artwork in this fanfic is mine unless i say that it is. I do not own Rise Of The Guardians in anyway, I'm just a depressed gay person who likes JackRabit and thinks there's not nearly enough fanfics of the ship.
