Clearwing is not a normal SilkWing. 

It's not the fact that she has black scales, something no other SilkWing does - although that probably plays a part in it. No, it's because she can see things. 

Where other dragons are blind, Clearwing shines a filament of flamesilk into the darkness. It doesn't do much to disperse it, but she can still make her way around. Because Clearwing can feel other dragons emotions, see their futures and their pasts, and tell if they're lying or telling the truth. But in every future where she reveals her secret, all there is in every direction is bloodshed, pain, and death. So she's never told any dragon. Well, other than Coal, her strange, black-scaled, fire-breathing, two-winged best friend. 

When her home is set on fire by LeafWings and darkness begins to corrupt Pantala, Clearwing, Coal, and their new friends must fight to save the world they know - or risk losing everything to the othermind's vines.

His mother fell ill and passed away when he was a dragonet, and his father, a royal SeaWing, was executed by his dictatorial queen as soon as it was found out that he'd had an affair with a common SkyWing. Still, Shrike remains tethered to the Queen and his tribe. (THE SEQUEL TO WINGS OF FIRE: THE RETURN OF WASP!) (Cover art is mine!) Things are going great on Pyrrhia, the founders of Jade Mountain have gave chances for younger dragonets to enroll in their now few years old school. Things seem great, until a battalion of HiveWing soldiers invade Pyrrhia and threatens their safety as Queen Wasp demands ruling rights over Pyrrhia. Toucan is a young RainWing with anger issues, and he takes this as a perfect opportunity to try and manage his disorder and make new friends. Dusky never wanted to go to school, he wanted to be in close proximity with his adoptive mother; Luna, after his own mother died in an unfortunate accident. He is scared of what might happen next if he ever sets talon in a new place he has no experience in, and he questions his own safety as a swarm of HiveWing soldiers invade Pyrrhia. Bumblebee was always ecstatic about school, she was always looking forward on making new friends, but after hearing an ominous prophecy from Fate Claws she starts to realize her life was at stake. Fate Claws was a normal NightWing with nothing more special than having the powers of foretelling to future, and prophecy powers. She was born under a blue moon, and she never really thought much of it until she starts seeing weird dragons that her other clawmates can't see. One of the dragons might be the one that seals their fate. Tiger realizes he was dead, and there was nothing left for him to accomplish. He had betrayed Wasp after all. But it was for a good purpose, was it? Now, he wanders the continents knowing that no one would be able to see, or hear him - then he stumbles upon a very NightWing dragonet who might be the only one who could ever see him.
