In a world where having a magical ability was considered a great gift, nine year old Himari Alluna had been raised to think otherwise. But after the death of her mother, Alluna decided that she didn't deserve to live while they were all dead. But that split second before her body hit the ground made her realize that a decision like this couldn't be taken lightly, even if she never thought she had in the first place.

Fortunately, pro-hero Aizawa Shota had managed to save her, and after finding out about her orphan situation, offered to take her in as her temporary guardian.
