Aveline Maeve had always known she was the illegitimate child of Viscount Harry, but she clung to dreams of acceptance. Her world shattered when she was falsely accused, a crime she didn't commit. Her family, who had tolerated her presence, turned against her. As she lay beaten and partially conscious, she saw them gathered around-disgust etched on their faces. The sister who had feigned kindness was laughing, her betrayal cutting deeper than any blow.

In those harrowing moments, Aveline felt her spirit dim, tortured to death by the very blood that claimed her. But just as darkness enveloped her, she awoke, gasping in the same childhood room she had left behind. She was seven again, her innocence intact, and a sense of relief washed over her. Thank God for this second chance.

This time, she would not be a pawn in their cruel game. With the wisdom of her past, Aveline vowed to reclaim her power, to turn the tables on those who wronged her and live a life she deserved. She would become the master of her fate once and forever.

Not Giving Into Fate

48 parts Ongoing Mature

I was the daughter of Duke Solon, I thought I was the last child. My elder brother is following in my father's stead. We were never really close. We both share my father's personality, a wedge that makes it hard for the three of us to talk to one another. It was fine, living like that, I mean. I was the daughter of the Duke, engaged to the Prince who didn't seem to care that much about the engagement. I was the Master of Ancient Magic at the Magic Tower. I had everything and I was stronger than most. The only terrible thing was that on my coming of age ceremony, it was all ruined. Catherina broke into my ball, claiming to be the daughter of some woman and my father. She looked like her mother and acted like her to gain my father's affection, society's adoration and the Prince's love. For two years she ruined me up to the point of my death. She somehow was able to frame me and villainize me as she stole my fiancé and life. She continued doing so until I somehow was framed for attempted murder. My father called me a traitor and a liar, the Prince sentenced my death and no one stopped it. I woke in my body again, 18 years old and with a plan. I don't want the Prince who will ridicule me, embarrass me and choose the woman over me. I don't care for all those who supported her over me. I had one plan. Kill her before she kills me.
