Chad Shehee, a 33 year old photographer, and Jared Lynton, a 40 year old videographer are two husbands. Jared has 3 biological children, Mason who is almost turning 17, Lilly, 15, and Jones, 12. Jared shares custody of the children with his ex-wife, Charlie Evans.
They are a regular happy family, when an unexpected guest arrives and becomes a part of the family, going on many 'vergenders' with them (Jones, the youngest child, mispronounces adventures as 'vergenders').
