Nobara knew what her mother wanted for her by heart. A simple, but ostracized life in some isolated village where she will live and die, knowing of her family, but forbidden to contact them. That's not what she wanted.

Kugisaki (Voronina) Maria Nobara Nikolayevna is different from her mother. Her mother is petty, too absorbed with the mistakes Nobara's father had made, too angry at him to truly feel any love for her daughter. Nobara doesn't want to be like her. Doesn't want to see her ever again.

That's why she accepted the mentorship under some retired and forgotten jujutsu sorcerer all those years ago. Her mother may have thought she had gotten the upper hand over her daughter's life, but Nobara would rather kill herself than stay in that godforsaken village to die unhappy and without freedom.

The Voronin Family is holily, sacred, promised to those with divine powers. Nobara already has her soul promised to some arrogant bitch with a god complex she will more than likely never meet while she's alive. She won't have anything else in her life be chosen by someone else. She is a Voronin, no matter how fucked up the Family is.

It's now Kuina's turn to enrol at Jujutsu Tech as a first year student. Being at the top of her class in terms of physical and mental strength and technique with different weapons, Kuina and her friend/someone she sees as a brother Megumi have been instructed by Gojo to collect all of Ryomen Sukuna's fingers. But after a run in with Sukuna, Kuina takes it upon herself to break into Sukuna's abandoned shrine and awaken his younger brother Xavier, another special grade spirit who takes a liking to her straight away.
