"ALL OF YOU!!! BACK TO THE HOUSE IMMEDIATELY!!!" Ms. Granger shouted, grabbing my arm roughly. I winced at how tightly she grabbed my arm as she dragged me toward the god-awful facility.
"And we're going to have a talk about this nonsense you've been up to, Mr. Travis," Ms. Granger grumbled, dragging back.
"IT'S NOT NONSENSE!!! I HATE IT HERE!!! I HAVE TO FIND MY MOM AND DAD!!!"
~~~~~~
"NO!!" I jump up, panting.
Small beads of sweat roll down my face as I try to catch my breath. "What the fuck..." I mumble, rubbing my hair back. I swallow hard trying to calm my nerves.
That's the third time this week I've had a dream like that...
"Hey, you okay??" Tiffany says, waking up. She sits up, rubbing her eyes as she turns on the lamp. She looks up at me, concern written on her face, "What's wrong??"
I don't even fucking know...
I shake my head, "I just...had another nightmare, that's all..."
About some shit from the past...
Her face softens and she softly grabs my face forcing me to face her. Her honey brown eyes gaze deeply into mine and I swear I could just melt.
"Do you wanna talk about it?? This is the third time this week you've woken up like this..."
"No, I'm okay. Just a little surprised," I state, relaxing a little, as I grab her hand. I kiss it and she smiles a little before asking, "You sure??"
I smile, feeling a little less anxious, "Yes, baby, I'm sure."
She smiles and plants a gentle kiss on my cheek. I grin giddily, and let go of her hand as she says, "Okay, if you say so. But, you can always tell me when you're not feeling okay, okay??"
"I will, promise," I mumble, cupping her chin and pecking her lips lightly.
Change comes in unexpected like a hurricane or tornado for Travis and Tiffany. It comes through fast and scary, and uncovers old scars and feelings that might challenge the strength of their relationship. The only question is, how well can they handle the pressure???
