(This Is Part 2 of, Luca and Alberto: All grown up.) If you haven't read part 1, I highly suggest doing so. Or this part of the story will not make much sense.

Luca and Alberto are back. And with a whole new adventure means a whole new obstacles. 

Alberto's first year at highschool is perfect in his eyes. Everyone is so nice to him. But as for luca...its harder than that. People pick on him.

Sometimes the people you need the most are the ones who are absent. 

But things take a turn for the worst. Suddenly sea creatures of Alberto and Lucas kind are to blame for accidents happening near and on the water.

Being split up and on the run...

...with people chasing them after their lives. And huge obstacles to overcome....

More importantly will one have what it takes to protect another?

CONTENT WARNING/TRIGGERS: Please note that this story contains very strong language at times and some mature themes. Some characters face emotional abuse. There is also a small amount of physical abuse, but it is mostly implied apart from one scene which is not extremely graphic. Some characters are homophobic, and a slur is used a handful of times. **2025 Update: Hi! This was my very first attempt at crafting an entire story from scratch all the way back in 2020, and I'd like to think my writing has since improved. I will soon be revisiting this story and making some enhancements - most notably, splitting up current chapters into smaller ones so they are much more easily digestible. In addition, I'll be making some edits to grammar and formatting, as well as giving some of the dialog a refresh in an effort to be less...cringe. Lol. There are also a few plot points I want to smooth out. While all of this is happening, the story will still be available in full here on Wattpad, though you may notice some "construction" happening (i.e. one chapter is very long and then there's a super short chapter, one chapter is formatted differently than another, etc.) Thanks for your patience while I work to spruce up this story :) I hope you still enjoy it in the meantime!

(Use to be called 'How Did My Life Get So Complicated?" but figured it was too long and decided to shorten it and give a different description than it was before). Zeke's life was that of a simple nerd who liked being in the background unnoticed and who just happens to be gay. It really doesn't help when you have two tormentors picking on you every single day with no do anything to stop it. Since it was his senior year all he had to do was hang on for the next ten months. Everything will be alright, right? Sadly it won't because life decided to throw a curve ball at Zeke's head by adding more pain other than what his bullies do to him. He gains a friend, looses said friend, only living relative dies and added to that his first love ends before it even really begins.

But that cause a big problem when they got caught and they were sent back home but they told the town about the deal they've made in order for them to keep some riches they deeply desire they must make a trade, to keep what they desire they must leave someone who they admire, but they must come willingly, Lorenzo told his family and Luca instantly knew what it means and he sacrificed himself to save his home and family. When he got to isla del mare he met Alberto who suddently had a quick liking to Luca and he looks familiar somehow. Ercole plan to still get everything to be more rich even if it means sacrificing others and murder. Luca and Alberto seems to be getting close every day but they didn't know if it is real love or not. But with Ercole's wrath and the sea monsters warning, this might lead to war. And Alberto was having a different kind of change but trying to conceal it. What will happen? What is Ercole willing to do? Are Luca and Alberto really in love? Why is Luca so familiar to Alberto? Will the war destroy everything and everyone they love? Will Luca see his family again? What change is Alberto concealing? Mafia leader, 'bad guy', murderer. He's that but so much more. Luca wouldn't ever expect to fall in love with the girl he was supposed to protect. She was his rock, his princess, his light, his everything. I rewrote that about 4 months later ^ Disclaimer: My story sucks in my opinion. It is my first story, my first characters, brand new ideas, writing skills are basically non existent.
