After, falling off from the cliff, Wei Wuxian got reincarnated into a body of a boy name Mo Xuanyu. He has sacrificed his body to bring Wei Wuxian back to the living world. After Wei Wuxian got reincarnated, he doesn't remember anything about his past life or who he is.

On his journey with Lan Wangji, he found out that Mo Xuanyu has use a spell to blocked Wei Wuxian memories, the only way to lift this spell is to kill the last person who accused Mo Xuanyu of sexually assaulted on them when Mo Xuanyu never did.
