Jade Jennings has spent most of her life in the Australian army. After coming back from a tour overseas she expected to be welcomed by her loving fiancé. What she didn't expect was to find him in bed with another woman, doing drugs and all her hard earned money gone.

To escape the pain and betrayal Jade jumps at the opportunity to go back on tour. However,  9 months later she is back after a gruelling and horrifying tour that has left both her body and mind in pieces. 

Moving into her new apartment the last thing she wanted was to be living next to the gorgeously attractive Marcus Blackwood, who is well known for his heroic acts of bravery in the field as an elite SAS solider.

The black dots increased as my breathing did. I'd done this too many times to know what was coming next. I hyperventilated until I passed out completely. ~ After a traumatic event that led to her family's death, Iris moves with her Aunt to California to try and start over. Iris Morgan grew up a military brat. With her dad in the Marines, she grew accustomed to that lifestyle, until she was ripped from it. Now she has to be the new girl all over again.
