Samantha Dietz, now Joseph, was finally settling in and settling down with her adoptive parents. Her birth father was gone, dead and buried, the Josephs were warm and loving. She was in control of her diabetes, she was making friends at school and was looking forward, albeit very nervously, to joining her dad, Tyler Joseph, and his bandmate Josh Dun, on tour during her summer break. 

Life finally seemed to be going her way. 

Until Tyler and Jenna drop a huge bombshell. One her birth father had warned her was coming.
