Elizabeth McKinley begins a new job as a Firefighter for the LAFD..sometimes working 8 hour shifts most days she has to sometimes leave her 15 year old daughter home alone most nights so She can spend long hours at work to pay for future college bills and health bills and trying to keep a meal on the table every single day with no help at all..

Eddie Diaz was also a firefighter for the LAFD..also working long shifts to provide for his son who is 14 and who also has CP and who is most times with a nanny and barely ever getting to see his father most days and who is also trying to provide a meal for him and his son every single day..

What happens when Elizabeth and Eddie meet and they start off on the wrong foot but then something happens and Eddies feelings change for the young Firefighter will her feelings also change for the young Firefighter too?
