[ shang-chi x male!oc ] Qiang Jin is not the blood-thirsty killer that the legends claim him to be. He enjoys long walks in the snow and has a soft spot for dogs and old people. Outside of his 'mystical gifts', he's as ordinary as any 23-year-old resident of Ta Lo can be. After the battle between the Soul Eater and the Great Protector, the village Elders sends Qiang Jin on a mission to act as a guide for the new owner of the legendary Ten Rings. His task is to ensure that they would be wielded accordingly, and rightfully. Sounds easy enough, right? Wrong. America is a wretched place with noisy vehicles, pollution, and little to no Chinese food. Also, English is a difficult language to learn. On the other end, Shang-Chi begins hearing voices, experiencing withdrawals, hauntings by nightmares, and other symptoms that can NOT be good news. Or A young man from Ta-Lo is sent to b̶a̶b̶y̶s̶i̶t̶ train Shang-Chi and ensure that he would be using his Rings correctly. The issue: Jin doesn't speak a word of English and has had little to no experiences with the world beyond his home realm. So, really, who's babysitting who? Spoiler alert: the mysterious edgy-looking warrior with the cursed sword has a soft side, and he's not very good at pretending to be dark and brooding.
