Zenitsu watched his friends fall. He saw Tomioka get his arm cut off and get knocked out. He saw Inosuke get beaten down. He saw Kanao loosing both her eyes. He watched Genya loose consciousness because of what he assumed blood loss. He saw Aoi standing shaky on her feet, her eyes wide in horror. He saw most if not all but one hashira die. He saw all of those things. But nothing could bring him more misery than this. Zenitsu thought in despair as a clawed hand, one that belonged to the one he loved the most and had the most gentle sound, came closer and closer to his tear drenched face.
