The rain was crashing down onto his skin, almost as if it was trying to wash off his sins, his lies, and bare his painful truths to the open. He did not stop running, would never dare to even if his knees broke on the wet cobble stone or his head got struck by lightning. His heart felt electricified already and the hopes to not stumble over the sidewalk and get run over by a car because he could not look left nor right were all gone - his head was only full of them and only them, desperate to reach their ears as fast as possible with what he had to announce. Nothing, really nothing could stop him now. And there! As clear as day he could see the iluminated neon lights right beside the glass door - still "open".
