The story begins with a young girl who has been living alone on the New York City's streets since she had left the orphanage, but she was soon found and adopted by a kind man named Larry Daley and his family, who she sees as her family. Seeing her courage and her bold need to protect, he had named her Sasha. But some family drama has happened to them, and now their family is scattered. 
All of that has changed as they both started working in the National History Museum with Larry as the new night guard of the museum and Sasha had started accompanying him to learn that the museum comes to life at night. But strange dreams have started to enter her mind, about a familiar Egyptian pharaoh with a beautiful warrior girl.
