What do you say when you are informed you are to be married when they pull you to the altar?

What do you say when the trip you and your family had taken to the neighbouring fair folk realm for 'peace talks', had been in fact your very own wedding that you had not been told of?

What do you say when you stare at the seventh prince to the Northern Highland realms that is home to the fair folk, as you both stand before a priest waiting for you to say something, anything?

What do you say with the weight of human and fair folk eyes weighing down on your shoulders as you try to breathe through the panic you feel is crushing you?

What do you say at everything shoving down at you because peace between the lands hang in the balance and all that can tip it is your words?

Me?

I said I do.

AARUSHI's POV: Panic grips my heart as the villagers close in, insisting that I am now bound to a life I never chose. Their faces, painted with fervor, become a blur as I try to gather my thoughts. "No, I can't marry him," I protest, my voice trembling. I glance around for support, feeling the isolation of the moment. Just as despair threatens to consume me, I catch a glimpse of Him. REYANSH's POV: I see the fear in her eyes, and it ignites a protective instinct within me. I can't let her face this alone. "She's already married," I declare, surprising her. The crowd murmurs, doubt clouding their faces. But I press on, "To me." The weight of my words hangs heavy in the air. I feel the pressure of their scrutiny, but I know I must stand firm for her sake. This isn't just about tradition; it's about saving her from a life she does not want. ............................................................................... AARUSHI's POV: I'm torn between gratitude, disbelief and grief. How did I find myself in this situation? His calm demeanor eases my anxiety, yet I can't shake the fear of what lies ahead. This isn't just a farce; it feels so real, and my heart races at the thought of becoming someone's wife, even if it's just for the moment. REYANSH's POV: I glance at her, seeing the flicker of hope amidst the confusion. I vow to protect her, no matter the outcome of this ceremony. What started as a chaotic twist of fate could turn into something beautiful. For the first time, I find myself wanting. Wanting a women, just to myself. BOTH's POV: Perhaps this union could be a new beginning, a chance for us to explore what lies beyond these unforeseen circumstances. ..................................................... 7 parts Complete Mature

"If you are to be my wife, why shouldn't I look?" She asked with feigned innocence. I glowered. "I thought you didn't want to be a toy?" Her eyes narrowed, a smile pulling at her lips. "Oh Brin, I would not be the toy..." she trailed off, roving over my body. Heat developed at my core and I squeezed my legs together, speed walking away from her. She had to be messing with me. -- My lips were almost touching hers, as though something magnetic continued to pull us closer. I had no words. I was no longer angry with her. I was consumed by her. -- Brin waited for this day to come. The day she would meet her human bride. She imagined a beautiful encounter, love at first sight, a magnetism like no other, but her future bride, the warrior princess, Alvena, had a much different view. Fae and humans were not alike.
