Dolores paled, her eyes brimming with fresh tears, a hand moving to her mouth while the other tried to grab onto a nearby object as her legs gave out. She fell, breaking the silence in the kitchen and causing her anxious rest of the family to look over to her, startled by the sudden noise. Her face was buried in her hands, letting out unusually loud sobs as she continued to listen on the conversation that was happening on the other side of town. The family was kneeling besides her in seconds, placing a comforting hand or two on her shoulder while awaiting her to tell them the dreaded news, that which was obvious but denied to accept it until they heard her say it herself. She finally looked up to meet the worried gazes of her family, tears running freely down her face. "He's gone...", she whispered, before tearing up again.
