Eventually, you get used to the crippling feeling and sometimes it even feels exhilarating. Now, 28 years old, working as a waitress in a shithole of the city; surviving is the only thing that matters. And if sacrificing everything for that one special person means surviving, then why the hell not?

And not for my normal arrogant reasons. I was still a pain in the ass, this I knew. But reality was real, and I was beginning to understand what he meant when he said if you don't live for something, you'll die for nothing. And I wasn't about to let that happen. I guess a journey of self discovery is the best description I could give. But I was so animate about finding myself, I somehow managed to lose fragments I had already discovered. And it took me way too long to figure that out..." Damian turns to his arrogant brother having left Wayne Manor, due to a shocking truth about Bruce exposed. Words from 'gullible Grayson's' goodbye letter are etched in his mind as he finds himself questioning the reality of his situation as a whole. Lost and confused, someone sacrifices their world for him which leads him pay the ultimate price. Will he remain a prisoner in his own mind, or will his thoughts be freed as he discovers who he truly is...
