Erica Clarissa Gilbert didn't want to live anymore with the abuse she was getting from her boyfriend. She had everything she could ask for her in her mundane life except for freedom. 

Matters only got worse on the night her parents died and the night she got raped by her now in jail ex boyfriend just because she was out with Elena. 

All though she still had her siblings, aunt and friends around to help her, she was broken and there was nothing nobody could do to make Erica feel better. 

However, when the creatures of the night return to Mystic Falls, let's just say Erica's life turns a full 360 and it's up to her on how to run it especially when she ends up falling in love with not only an Original Vampire but with a Werewolf as well.  

What will happen when complete polar opposites come face to face to each other. Will they be able to help Erica move on or will Erica's past mess it up? Will Erica be what they both need or will family, friends and death push them apart? What happens when child (ren) get brought into the picture?
